Things to consider after the shoot.

Remember that your headshot is your business card so you will be passing them out and mailing them by the hundreds. In order to have professional looking headshots you need to take the original photograph or digital file and have it reproduced.

Every reproduction must have your name on the bottom of your photograph. Make sure you pick a font that is simple to read, the fancy fonts look cool but can be hard to read. I suggest that you get a black frame around your picture, with your name in the white border, this looks clean, sharp, and professional. In my opinion the reproductions that take up the whole page and have the name of the actor on the picture look antiquated.

Many companies will add your resumee printed onto the back of your headshots. This looks good, but the problem is that once you do a show you will have a lot of headshots that are not updated with the most current information. The best way to add a resumee is to print them on a nice paper and staple them to the back of the headshot.
