Things to consider after the shoot.

Some professionals will tell you that you should have no retouching done. I disagree with them. Remember that your headshot should represent you on your best day, and many times new actors get pimples or break out with acne the night before the shoot due to stress.

Retouching should be limited to adding eyelashes, deleating pimples, or other unsightly blemishes. You should, under no circumstances, change your facial features, such as deleating a mole or thinning your jaw line or nose, or adding thickness to your lips.

Many actors are their own worst critic. It helps to get the opinion of people you trust when you are looking at your proofs. They will be able to give good advice and help you narrow down your choices.
