What should my shoot consist of?

As an actor, there are a myriad of different options for you to choose from. Since there are so many options for actors to look at when choosing a photographer I decided to set up this page to answer some basic guidelines that many actors are confused about.

One of the most distinguishing factors in choosing a photographer, is whether they shoot in the digital format or if they shoot with film. I find that both formats have their positive and negative aspects, and I try to discuss those things on this page.

Another factor I find confuses actors is the difference between shooting in natural light and shooting with studio lighting. The technical issues of each are unimportant to you as an actor, what is important is results. Do not be confused, strobes, used properly, can give light just as soft and natural as shooting in, "natural light". Make sure you examine the photographers' book closely and ask questions if lighting issues are important to you.

Please remember that every photographer has a different style, and approach to photographing people. Do not get too caught up in technical issues. All that is important is whether or not their style is appropriate for your self expression.
