Always communicate with your make-up person. You should look like yourself on your best day, so if you do not wear heavy eyeliner or lip liner, make sure you mention that to your make-up artist. I always suggest that you bring a photo of yourself with make-up on to give an idea of how you wear your make-up.
You will need to place your trust in your make-up artist, because your make-up will need to be heavier than normal, so do not judge the make-up looking in the mirror, but ask to see a polaroid or a preview before you continue with the shoot. This way you will be able to see how you look under lighting, and you can make a better judgement. Remember that your make-up artist is hired by you so make sure your needs are being met.
Keep in mind that your make-up should look like you when you walk into an audition, do not go glamorous if you wear your make-up naturally.
