Congratulations! You have
finished your shoot and have a print, now you need reproductions. Depending
on how expensive your photographer is, your reproductions are going to be
the most costly part of your business, so definitely shop around.
Keep in mind that your headshot
is your calling card. I have seen many actors spend a lot of money on
their photographer, but then realize that they have no money for reproductions.
This forces them to get low quality reproductions, which do not look
professional. Would you go to a doctor who did not seem to be a professional?
Of course not! So why do so many actors pass out bad reproductions of
themselves and expect to be called in for an audition?
Remember to budget wisely
when you are looking to get headshots done. Consider all your costs before
choosing a photographer. Decide on your budget, then choose a photographer
within your price range. Doing this will help relieve you of a lot of financial
stress in the future.
